Vegan breakfast

"War does not determines who is right, but who is left" Want to go vegan but you can't seem to get passed the breakfast stage. Let's be honest there's no way to get on your way to be a Vegan without graduating from breakfast. Is it just to hard because you don't know what to have or maybe you don't know what to substitute .


               5 tips for a Vegan breakfast

•1. Substitute your dairy (cows) milk for a hemp or coconut milk. No, hemp will not get you high. It doesn't contain THC so you will pass your next drug test.

•2. Substitute your egg with mashed banana or apple sauce. If its making pancakes a piece of cake or making biscuits and gravy savory these substitutions will no doubt blow you away.

•3. Substitute your flesh foods with mushroom. Want a steak for breakfast? Marinate a portabella mushroom and sear it to the perfect temperature. The texture of your food is just important as taste.  Mushrooms are a great texture sub for meat. 

•4 Substitute your all purpose bleached flour for spelt flour.  All purpose bleach flour is cheap and gives you what you need, but it's no where near good for you. Spelt flour is a great addition to any vegans cooking regiment. Hint: it also contains protein.

•5 Smoothies and shakes are a great addition to the vegan life. Kiss Jamba Juice goodbye when you learn the simplicity of a good shake. A good shake can contain a frozen banana washed and with the peel on. Peaches and peach juice 2 cups cold. Fresh  cold strawberries and frozen mangos. Topped with coconut water 4 cups of cold coconut water. Hint: when making smoothies always use cold and frozen
fruits.

*Vegan Pancakes*

I can of coconut milk
3/4 cup spelt flour.
7 dashes of cinnamon
1 cup of Turbino Cain sugar
2 dashes of clove
2 table spoons apple sauce
1 pinch of nutmeg
3 cups table spoon grapeseed oil

Preheat to griddle or pan to medium high. Coat with grapeseed oil.
Measure your flour 3/4 cup and sift it a through a strainer. Add 1 can of your favorite coconut milk. Add 7 dashes of cinnamon 2 dashes of clove and 1 pinch of nutmeg and sugar 1 cup. Wisk for 5 - 10 minutes or until completely smooth. Check the consistency to make sure batter is thick enough. Too thin and it will no it cook properly.  Grab a large spoon or a gravy ladle works great. Dip and drip your batter onto the pan or griddle. Always watch your food. In about 5 mins it should be Brown and thick enough for you to flip. Loosen any stuck portions with a spatula before attempting to flip. Flip and let the side cook for 5-8 mins or until brown. When it's done remove from skillet and it's like magic!


Extra - Simple Strawberry Syrup.

1 cup Turbino Cain sugar
1 cup of boiling water
1/2 cup of strawberries.

Add one cup of Turbino Cain sugar to one cup of boiling water. Let mixture combine then reduce heat and let the mixture cook for 5 mins and then add 1/2 cup of fresh strawberries. Turn heat up to medium high until mixture is at a pre-boil and turn down and let simmer until mixture is at a syrup like consistency. And you're on your way to being a Vegan chef.
